Facts about LGBTTQ Consumers:

Statistics in Canada demonstrate that a majority of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) community consists of either single or couples without children, have a higher education and a higher disposable income than the average consumer. Ninety-seven percent took vacations in the past 12 months, 82% spent 5+ nights at a hotel...and 57% book at known "gay friendly" airlines, hotels, restaurants, car rentals, golf courses. Gay men and lesbians are more apt to support and do business with LGBTTQ businesses and LGBTTQ allies because they feel they can be themselves, will be more comfortable, and will be treated with respect.

The Atlantic Rainbow Business Association (ARBA) is the only organization specifically dedicated to expanding the economic opportunities and advancements of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) business community in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland Labrador.

Membership is available on an annual basis to LGBTTQ-owned businesses, or LGBTTQ independent agents, professionals, or contractors. Associate membership is available for our LGBTTQ allies - those businesses which are not LGBTTQ-owned but serve our community and demonstrate our values. All benefits require membership.
